As the book goes on it’s seems to become overload with sharp irony. It seems like the soldier are coming to their final limit. Paul in fact makes a comparison to the war as a disease. It feels as though they are in jail serving a life time sentence. They themselves are coming to a realization that they are more like objects then humans. Although they kinda see the possible ending to this all but their still is the fate that they might get killed no matter what. At some point one must see when is it time to request change. Although this whole book the wordsmith portrays the soldiers as people who just fight. In the end it seems like it was for nothing, kinda taking back the readers that Paul and the others didn’t die when flinging but during the final moments of the war. When Paul dies he is symbolized as the lostgeneration, because he is the last one out of all the other classmates. Thus, representing the el image of a whole generation. Finishing off the book was a mysterious person unlike the rest which was typically Paul. The writer haves off the idea as to who is the most significant person in the text which brings emotion to the reader. gives us no insight as to who this impromptu narrator is or at what point in time this reflection upon the story occurs, which helps to render the story timeless. Not to mention the odd fact that the day in which Paul died was so relaxing and payed back. That when one can see the title meaning, the fact that the German army has calmed that day â€Å"All quiet on the western Front†. Another thing that the last few paragraph demonstrate is the fact that the end of the War has brought much peace. In the end the reader is thrown off by this sudden death and how it could all just vanished. Thus, the book shows a clear meaning of how the war ends and how it gets to even the best of us. Going back to how this book started and how could these young boys have to die for something that they didn’t wanted or the question that we all ask why did it have to happen to them.

Its yearly predictable flooding created fertile soil for farming. This was the perfect environment in which Egyptian society would prosper. Egypt was equipped with all the amenities of a modern society including people who married, had children, practiced religion, and even had festivals with food, beer, music and dancing. Also, the word bulwark means â€Å"something that provides protection for or against something (Bulwark, n.d.). Even though the current and sole Republican candidate for this year’s election (Donald Trump) is widely detested for numerous reasons, his Democratic challenger (Hillary Clinton) is also viewed as distastefully, if not more so. Considering this, the Bulwark party is named as such because many Republicans do not have adequate understanding of human nature or the diplomatic tact needed to tackle some of the problems that the United States faces today. As physically stronger social fauna defend their families, it is the responsibility of this country’s citizens to preserve liberty by actively fending for themselves and their families from interlopers who threaten to destroy it. There are several different interpretations of the symbolic meaning concerning his portrait of Giovanni Arnolfini and his second bride often referred to as â€Å"The Arnolfini Marriage†. Marriage is a sacred union between man and woman. A wedding is one of the most important events in a woman’s life. Mythology And Religion MYTHOLOGY AND RELIGION Throughout history people have been fascinated with the subject of religion and mythology. In this paper I will define both religion and mythology, and show how mythology can be seen as a religion. First you must have some understanding and definition of religion before you can see how it relates to mythology. Webster's New Riverside Dictionary defines religion as, a. Belief in and reference for a supernatural power accepted as the creator and governor of the universe. My definition of religion would be a belief in a god as a higher or Supreme Being, and with a system of beliefs and practices. I perceive religion as a way to explain the unexplainable. Secondly you must determine what myths are and how they are created. The word myth comes from the Greek word mythos, which in turn means story, tale or fiction. Webster's New Riverside Dictionary defines a myth as, A traditional story originating in a preliterate society, dealing with supernatural beings, ancestors, or heroes that serve as primordial types in a primitive view of the world. Myths like any religion try to provide an explanation for unanswerable questions. Greek mythology should not be mistaken for fact since there is no scientific evidence of these events but should be taken as advice. This is not saying that all mythology is untrue or fictional. Like in any religion, faith is the domineering factor; for without faith religion would cease to exist. Joseph Campbell states that, The material of myth is the material of our life, the material of our body, and the material of our environment, and a living, vital mythology deals with these in terms that are appropriate to the nature of knowledge of the time (Campbell 01). Greek mythology is similar to modern religion in many ways. Like Christianity, Mythology gave meaning to everyday situations. It also formed religious bases and a social structure for which it laid the common law for people. In today's religious setting most would see the common law to live by illustrated in the Bible. Like the Greeks we build altars, temples and churches to give praise to our God. In every religion we as a society have created a hero or savior that will save the believer from great despair and tragedy. Prometheus and his battle for mankind is seen as one of the greatest Greek heroes. Though heroes do not have to be strong and mighty, they must be able to turn chaos into order. Campbell speaks of the metaphysical hero Buddha, who conquers chaos within himself to find nirvana. Buddha believed that if you could conquer the chaos inside of yourself you would find internal peace and happiness. For the Christian believer Jesus can be seen as a hero for he to conquers everyday chaos. Though twenty-four hundred years have elapsed we really have not evolved that much from the Greek era. Our world still searches for the truth and tries to discover the unknown and conquer the unimaginable. It is important to remember that without myths there would be an unexplainable void in history. Play Review on West Side Story essays Drama Play Review on The musical Play that I did my review on was West Side Story by Jerome Robbins. I saw this play at the Woodland High School with my family. We went to see it because my older brother, Nick was in it. Thinking about the overall production, I liked that it was about two gangs fighting over their turf as they called it. It was cool because it showed me what simple lives they had but ending up in a tragic ending. I also liked how they seemed to have an accurate perception of what each of the gangs whore and what they acted like. The setting of the background stood for all the scenes and purposes of they play and it was like a real place in a city. I thought that was pretty cool. Thinking about the overall production, I disliked how they had so many singing scenes and that sort of got boring so I wouldnt come back and see it again. I also thought that some of they parts should have been played by the other characters (not naming any names). If I were to do things differently as the director I would have watched the movie and made a better selection who could fit the character better and who would better as a different part in the play. Overall it turned out to be really good but those would have been the changes that I would have made. A character that I did not like was Maria. She did well as the character but she didnt really fit the part. I dont want to be mean but that is just my opinion. Another person that I didnt like was Riff. He seemed to over act a little too much but he still did a good job (better than I could have done) playing the part. A person that I did like was Action. He played a good part because he acted wild and gave me the feeling that he was really that sort of person.
